Makkah: The number of licensed rooms in hospitality establishments in Makkah has exceeded 300,000, marking a 41% increase during the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Tourism conducted inspection and oversight tours of hospitality facilities in Makkah, which now number over 1,160 licensed establishments. These visits aimed to assess their readiness to receive pilgrims and ensure their commitment to providing the highest quality of service during the Hajj season.
This significant growth in the number of licensed accommodations reflects the ministry’s ongoing efforts to ensure high-quality services for pilgrims during the 1446 AH Hajj season. It is part of a broader integrated and collaborative approach with relevant government entities to provide all means of comfort for pilgrims so they may perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
