Riyadh: The Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has called on tourism service providers, including hospitality facilities and travel and tourism services, to register on SDAIA's National Data Governance Platform. The call comes in accordance with Article (2) of the regulations governing the National Register of Controllers authorities within the Kingdom and supports SDAIA's efforts to establish a unified national registry to monitor compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law and its implementing regulations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Data Governance Platform serves as a key channel for providing services related to personal data protection. It helps entities and individuals comply with the law, its executive regulations, and related documents issued by SDAIA. The platform offers several services, including a compliance self-assessment tool, personal data leak notification, privacy impact assessments, and a service for receiving complaints related to data processing.

The Ministry of Tourism urged all tourism service providers to register through the following link: https://dgp.sdaia.gov.sa/wps/portal/pdp/Registration/private, and to take advantage of the platform's electronic services, which facilitate compliance with the system and its executive regulations. The ministry also noted that failing to register constitutes a violation subject to the provisions of Article (36) of the Personal Data Protection Law.
