Riyadh: Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Fund for Development Ahmed Al-Khateeb inaugurated the third day of the Development Finance Conference MOMENTUM 2025, organized by the National Development Fund under the theme 'Leading Development Transformation,' at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, with the participation of prominent decision-makers, experts, and investors from around the world.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in the opening session, the minister delivered a speech highlighting the importance of boosting international partnerships and adopting innovative solutions to accelerate sustainable development. He noted the central role played by the Kingdom in leading development transformation in line with Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing its significant efforts and pioneering contributions to inclusive international development, driven by its belief in the importance of development cooperation to improve living standards and achieve sustainable growth across developing countries.
Al-Khateeb pointed out that global reports and statistics, including those cited in the 2025 ranking of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, indicate that more than 141 countries have received development assistance to support projects aimed at promoting social and economic progress. He noted that the volume of development assistance over the past five years has exceeded $1 trillion.
The conference agenda featured more than 35 panel discussions with over 100 global speakers, as well as an accompanying exhibition featuring more than 20 entities from the public and private sectors.
