Jeddah: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are expected to hit parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Najran regions. According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has issued alerts for these areas, advising residents to be cautious as severe weather conditions are anticipated.
Temperatures are predicted to remain high in the Eastern, Riyadh, and Madinah regions. Moreover, dust-stirring winds are expected to affect parts of these regions, as well as the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, and the western and southwestern highlands of the Kingdom. This could potentially lead to reduced visibility and challenging travel conditions.
Winds over the Red Sea will vary, with northwesterly to westerly winds in the northern part, shifting to northwesterly to southwesterly in the central part at speeds of 5-45 km/h. In the southern part, winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly, reaching speeds of 12-50 km/h. The sea conditions are projected to range from calm to choppy, with wave heights between half a meter to over two and a half meters.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds are anticipated to be northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 15-30 km/h. The sea is expected to remain relatively calm, with wave heights between half a meter to one and a half meters.
