Thunderstorms and Hail Expected in Multiple Saudi Regions

Jeddah: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are expected in several regions of Saudi Arabia, including Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Eastern, and Najran. Fog may also form in these areas, as well as in the Madinah Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has forecasted that winds over the Red Sea will vary. In the northern and central parts, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-30 km/h, and in the southern part, they will be westerly to northwesterly at speeds of 10-45 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, leading to conditions that may vary from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the winds are predicted to be northwesterly at speeds of 15-35 km/h. The wave heights in this area are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, resulting in relatively calm sea conditions.
