Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and hail are expected in parts of the Makkah Region on Monday.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology forecasts partially cloudy skies with thunderclouds and gusty winds over the highlands of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions. Additionally, fog is anticipated to form in the Eastern Region and the northern parts of the Kingdom.
Winds over the Red Sea are expected to vary by region, with northwesterly to northerly winds in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southwesterly winds in the southern part, at speeds of 20-50 km/h. Wave heights will range from one meter to over two and a half meters, indicating a sea state from calm to choppy.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds will differ between the northern and southern parts, with southwesterly to southerly winds in the northern part, and northwesterly to northerly winds in the southern part, at speeds of 10-25 km/h. Wave heights are expected to reach from half a meter to one meter, with the sea remaining calm.
