Riyadh: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms are expected to hit parts of Riyadh, Eastern, and Najran regions on Tuesday, potentially leading to flash floods and hail.
According to Saudi Press Agency, light rain showers are forecasted for the Qassim, Hail, and Tabuk regions.
Gusty winds will affect these areas, extending to the Madinah and Makkah regions. Thunderclouds accompanied by gusty winds are also predicted to develop over the southwestern highlands of the Kingdom.
In terms of maritime conditions, winds over the Red Sea will blow northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-34 km/h, with waves ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters, indicating relatively calm seas. Meanwhile, in the Arabian Gulf, winds will vary from southeasterly to southwesterly in the north, and northeasterly to southeasterly in the central and southern parts at speeds of 15-55 km/h. Waves in the Gulf are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.
