Thunderstorms and Flash Floods Expected in Jazan Region

Jazan: The National Center for Meteorology has forecasted moderate to heavy thunderstorms over parts of the Jazan Region, likely leading to flash floods. These weather conditions will be accompanied by hail and gusty winds.

According to Saudi Press Agency, light to moderate rain is also anticipated in parts of Makkah, Al-Baha, and Aseer regions, as well as in the southern parts of the Eastern Region. Fog formation is expected in these areas and along the coastal parts of the Madinah Region. Dust-stirring winds are predicted in parts of the Riyadh Region.

The Red Sea will experience northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds of 15-30 km/h in its northern and central parts, while the southern part will see southwesterly to southeasterly winds at speeds of 10-45 km/h. Waves in the Red Sea may vary from half a meter to over two meters, with conditions ranging from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are expected to be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-30 km/h. Waves in the gulf may range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with the sea predicted to be relatively calm.
