Riyadh: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms are anticipated to result in flash floods across several regions including Eastern, Riyadh, Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah. These weather conditions are expected to be accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds, with fog likely to form during the night and early morning hours in parts of these areas.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds of 15-35 km/h in the northern and central regions, shifting to northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds of 12-60 km/h in the southern part. Wave heights are predicted to vary from half a meter to over two and a half meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds will change from northeasterly to easterly in the northern region, and from southwesterly to northwesterly at speeds of 12-24 km/h in the central and southern regions. Waves are expected to range from half a meter to one meter, with the sea remaining calm.
