Thunderstorms and Flash Flood Warnings Issued for Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail and potential flash floods are forecasted for parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Gusty winds, capable of stirring dust, are expected to affect these regions, as well as parts of the Eastern, Riyadh, and Madinah regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will vary from northwesterly to westerly in the northern and central parts, shifting to southwesterly to northwesterly in the southern part, with speeds ranging between 15-50 km/h. The sea conditions in the Red Sea will fluctuate from calm to choppy, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to over two meters.

In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly to northeasterly winds are expected at speeds of 12-30 km/h, transitioning in the evening to southeasterly to southwesterly in the northern and central regions. In the southern part, winds will shift from southwesterly to northwesterly, changing in the evening to northerly to northeasterly at speeds of 10-50 km/h. The wave heights will similarly range from half a meter to over two meters, with the sea remaining calm to choppy.
