Thundershowers and Gusty Winds Expected in Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah


Jeddah: The National Center for Meteorology has forecast moderate to heavy thundershowers accompanied by hail and gusty winds in the regions of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah. These weather conditions may potentially lead to flash floods in these areas. Additionally, there is a possibility of fog formation over the mentioned regions.



According to Saudi Press Agency, dust-stirring winds are anticipated in Riyadh, Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders regions. These conditions could affect visibility and outdoor activities in the affected areas.



Winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northwesterly to northerly at speeds ranging between 15-45 km/h in the northern and central parts. In the southern part, winds will transition from southwesterly to southeasterly, later shifting to northeasterly to southeasterly in the evening, with speeds of 10-50 km/h. Wave heights may range from half a meter to over two meters, leading to calm to choppy sea conditions.



In the Arabian Gulf, winds are predicted to be northerly to northwesterly, shifting to southeasterly to southerly in the evening in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to northeasterly in the southern part at speeds of 10-30 km/h. Waves in the Arabian Gulf are expected to range from half a meter to one meter, with the sea remaining calm.
