Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced that licensed parcel transport companies delivered more than 26 million shipments and postal parcels during Ramadan 1446 AH, reflecting an 18% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this record-breaking figure highlights the efficiency of the Kingdom's logistics sector, the commitment of licensed companies to enhancing customer experience, and their ability to align with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.

The TGA noted that the highest daily delivery rate was recorded on the 24th of Ramadan, surpassing 1.1 million shipments within 24 hours. This achievement underscores the sector's operational readiness and capacity to handle seasonal surges in demand.

The continued growth in parcel transport is evident, with approximately 22 million shipments delivered in Ramadan 1445 AH (2024), compared to 14 million in Ramadan 1444 AH (2023)-an overall increase of more than 86% in just two years.

The authority attributed this success to integrated efforts, strong partnerships with government agencies, and the participation of over 70 licensed companies. Their adherence to operational plans during peak seasons played a key role in enhancing service efficiency and achieving this milestone.
