TGA Joins Global Sustainable Transport Exchange in China

China: Transport General Authority (TGA), represented by the Railway Transport Agency, took part in the Global Sustainable Transport Cultural Exchange Project, organized by China's Ministry of Transport in cooperation with the Global Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center (GSTIKC).

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event was held under the theme "Sustainable Transport and Sustainable City" and gathered representatives from more than 10 countries to enhance global cooperation and exchange expertise in sustainable transport. The program included lectures on China's advancements in transport, such as artificial intelligence, intelligent control systems, and cloud computing. Attendees also participated in field visits to monorail factories, operation centers, and key stations. Interactive sessions were conducted to explore the challenges facing the transport sector and propose solutions that align with sustainability, innovation, and economic viability, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

The Saudi delegation presented the Kingdom's railway sector achievements and ambitions under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. They highlighted current and future projects, regulatory frameworks, and efforts to promote sustainable transportation. The TGA's participation reinforced the Kingdom's global presence in transport innovation, underlining its commitment to building a smart, efficient, and sustainable system in support of Vision 2030.
