Technical Affairs, Digital Transformations and Artificial Intelligence Agency Provides Holy Quran Application

The Agency of Technical Affairs, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence at the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques, has provided AlHaramain Quran application, offering a high-resolution version of the approved edition of King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Madinah in Hafs from Asim narration.

Acting Undersecretary of General President for Technical Affairs, Digital Transformations and Artificial Intelligence Eng. Wissam bin Mohammed Maqadmi said that the application includes recitations of the Holy Quran by present and former Imams of the Two Holy Mosques and recordings of Taraweeh prayers in the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque. Featured in the application is the facilitated interpretation, which can be viewed as a whole or by Surah or verse. Verses are highlighted by drawing, colour, and number.

Maqadmi added that the application’s search engine is accurate regarding the Holy Quran’s wording and structure, in addition to enjoying the high speed. The search engine ignores common spelling mistakes and saves search words for facilitating later referrals. He pointed out that the index of the Holy Quran is designed to facilitate navigation by part, Surah or page.

A bookmarking feature is also available in the Mushaf AlHaramain application to mark pages, Maqadmi stated, noting that the application enables the selection of favourite verses to be displayed together on the screen and to refer back to them when desired.

Moreover, the application supports night reading mode for eye comfort and allows the sharing of Quran verses and pages on social media platforms, he went on to say, explaining that the translation team is working on adding more languages to the application, which is currently available in the Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Indonesian languages.
