Riyadh: Team Spirit was crowned champion of the MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2026, part of the 2026 Esports World Cup, after nine days of intense competition. They became the first team from Eastern Europe and Central Asia to achieve this feat, defeating the Burmese team Yangon Galacticos in the final.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Team Spirit faced a challenging path to the title after dropping to the lower bracket following a loss to Team Vamos in the group stage. However, a victory over Guangzhou Gaming secured their place in the knockout rounds, where they remained undefeated en route to the title.
Team Spirit player Mathaios "Kid Bomba" Chatzilakos received the Sony Finals MVP award for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament. Team Spirit earned $1 million and 1,000 club championship points, while Yangon Galacticos received $500,000 and 750 club championship points for finishing second.
