Riyadh: Spain's Team Heretics won the VALORANT title at the Esports World Cup 2025 after a 3-2 comeback victory over the United Kingdom's Fnatic in the final at stc Arena, Boulevard Riyadh City.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the six-day tournament featured 16 global teams with a prize pool exceeding $1 million. Team Heretics secured its first championship, earning $500,000 and 1,000 ranking points.
Turkish player Wo0t was named MVP for his standout performance. Teammates credited crowd support and praised RieNs for his leadership during the comeback.
VALORANT, a top global tactical shooter, joined the Esports World Cup lineup this year alongside chess, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and Cross Fire. The Riyadh-hosted event runs from July 7 to August 24, with over 2,000 pro players competing in 25 tournaments for a total prize pool of $70 million.
