Taif: Taif University has achieved significant recognition in the 2024 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), placing prominently in various academic specializations both regionally and internationally. According to Saudi Press Agency, among the university's notable accomplishments, its Natural Sciences and Mathematics departments ranked within the top 151-200 globally, with mathematical research receiving a high standing nationally, ranked 6th-8th. This reflects Taif University's commitment to advancing research and curriculum development in these fields. Additionally, the ranking highlighted achievements across several engineering disciplines. Electrical and Electronic Engineering was ranked 401-500 globally and placed between 5th-7th locally. Computer Science and Engineering achieved a 301-400 global rank and 4th place locally, while Materials Engineering and Energy Engineering both earned a 301-400 global rank, with placements of 4th-5th and 10th-12th locally, respectively. In Food Engineering, Taif University reached the 101-150 global range and secured the 2nd position locally, demonstrating the university's excellence in food research. The Biological Sciences and Agriculture specializations ranked between 101-150 globally and held second place locally. The Veterinary Medicine program followed closely, ranking 151-200 globally and 2nd-3rd locally. In health sciences, the Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Sciences programs ranked 301-400 globally and between 3rd-8th locally, underscoring the university's strides in advancing scientific research in health fields. Taif University president Dr. Youssef Asiri told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that these achievements underscore the university's ongoing commitment to innovation, educational excellence, and research advancement. He highlighted that Taif University is dedicated to enhancing its international standing, fostering research infrastructure, and producing high-quality academic outcomes.
