Riyadh: Taibah University is set to host its inaugural International Pharmacy Conference on campus from April 16 to 17, 2025. The event is designed to bring together specialists, researchers, and practitioners from the academic and healthcare sectors, both within Saudi Arabia and from around the globe.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference will provide a scientific and professional platform that merges education, practice, and innovation in the field of pharmacy. The event aims to highlight recent advancements and address current challenges in pharmaceutical sciences and their applications. Key objectives include examining strategies to propel pharmaceutical research and development and fostering collaboration between academic institutions and the health and industrial sectors. These initiatives are aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly concerning the localization of pharmaceutical industries and the enhancement of healthcare quality.
The conference will delve into four primary themes: clinical pharmacy and healthcare; innovation in drug manufacturing and biotechnology; drug development and discovery, which includes related research and regulatory challenges; and pharmacovigilance along with associated legislation.
