Supporting Races for Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Conclude with Thrilling Competitions

Jeddah: The supporting races for the Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2025 event concluded on Sunday. For the fifth consecutive year, the event was held at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the fastest street circuit in the world, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the sixth and final round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East saw intense competition. Australian Caleb Sumich, driver for the DHL team, secured victory in the second race. British driver James Wells of the BWT Junior Racing team finished in second place, while Saudi driver Khaled Alahmadi of the Saudi Racing Team took third place.

With the conclusion of the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East season, Prince Saud bin Mu'tasim bin Saud was crowned champion in the Pro-AM category and the Gulf Drivers' category after a season filled with outstanding performance and strong competition. Meanwhile, the Saudi Racing Team claimed the Team Championship title.

In the third round of the 2025 Formula 2 Championship, Dutch driver Richard Verschoor of MP Motorsport claimed first place, completing the race in 51 minutes and 33.929 seconds. American driver Jak Crawford of DAMS Lucas Oil finished second, just 1.701 seconds behind, while French driver Victor Martins of ART Grand Prix took third, 5.852 seconds behind the winner. Moreover, the second round of the 2025 Formula 1 Academy Series concluded Sunday at noon at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, amid a highly competitive atmosphere.

The second race saw intense rivalry among the drivers. Dutch driver Maya Weug of MP Motorsport secured first place, finishing the race in 27 minutes, 18.850 seconds. American driver Chloe Chambers of Campos Racing came in second, 2.784 seconds behind, while French driver Doriane Pin of Prema Racing finished third, 2.849 seconds behind the winner.

Meanwhile, Saudi driver Farah Al-Yousef of Hitech TGR delivered a strong performance in her debut participation in the Formula 1 Academy Series, finishing the race in 18th place with a time of 29 minutes, 0.258 seconds. Al-Yousef demonstrated a promising presence, signaling a bright future for her in the world of motorsport.
