Consumers expressed great appreciation for the wide variety of Saudi dates, citing their high quality and compliance with international standards. Some consumers at a retail market in Houston expressed their delight at having Saudi dates and their products available locally, praising their distinctive flavor and ease of consumption. Others described them as a potential alternative to chocolate or sweets, noting that Saudi dates have a special quality that sets them apart from other varieties. This has prompted many consumers to keep them on their desks during working hours and in their homes. The Saudi palms and dates sector has achieved several major national economic milestones. Total date production has reached 1.9 million tons, while exports to more than 125 countries worldwide are valued at nearly SAR2 billion, making Saudi Arabia the world's leading exporter of dates by value.
