Makkah: stc group has announced record-breaking growth in digital and communication service usage at the two holy mosques during the mid-Ramadan peak. Network indicators reveal a 21% increase in data traffic at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and a 40% surge at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, with 5G technology carrying nearly half of all internet traffic in both locations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, to support this demand, the group upgraded over 600 towers in Makkah and 470 in Madinah, ensuring high operational efficiency for the millions of worshippers and a 10% increase in international roaming customers.
These infrastructure enhancements have successfully maintained service quality despite the massive influx of pilgrims, solidifying stc's role in providing seamless connectivity during the holy month.
