Madinah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has launched its operational plan for the Ramadan 1447 AH Umrah season to provide comprehensive emergency medical services for visitors to the Prophet's Mosque. The plan deploys 10 operational sectors supported by a workforce of 472 specialists and a fleet of 97 ambulance units, including motorcycles, electric vehicles, and golf carts for rapid response.
According to Saudi Press Agency, to ensure rapid intervention in high-density areas, SRCA has also activated air ambulance services and specialized disaster response vehicles. This professional force is bolstered by 1,500 trained volunteers working around the clock across Madinah's major mosques.
