SPL Issues Commemorative Stamp Honoring National Cultural Awards

Riyadh: SPL has issued a SAR3 commemorative postage stamp to mark the National Cultural Awards, a national initiative launched by the Ministry of Culture under the National Culture Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative celebrates Saudi Arabia's cultural achievements, honors pioneers of the cultural sector, showcases national talent, encourages cultural production, and promotes community participation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, since the launch of the first edition of the National Cultural Awards in 2020, with the winners honored in 2021, the Ministry of Culture has celebrated outstanding cultural achievements annually. The initiative has now reached its sixth edition in 2026 and continues to evolve, introducing new award tracks, including International Cultural Excellence. Today, the awards include all cultural sectors across seven main award categories and 12 subcategories, recognizing nonprofit and for-profit cultural organizations, business leaders, cultural media, and distinguished individuals and groups across the Kingdom's cultural and artistic landscape.

SPL's commemorative stamps continue to highlight major national milestones and significant international occasions. Each stamp is issued to commemorate an important event or preserve a defining moment in Saudi Arabia's history, making these stamps valuable collectibles for stamp collectors worldwide and an important historical record for those interested in documenting the Kingdom's heritage.
