Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam today met Indian Parliament Speaker Om Birla, Speaker of the Indian Parliament, on the occasion of his participation in the 146th IPU Assembly .
Al Musallam noted the depth of bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of India, stressed parliamentary commitment to continue developing joint ties.
He praised the vital role of the Republic of India in supporting the security and stability of the region, and its presidency of the G20 alongside the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2023.
Om Birlaexpressed his country’s pride and appreciation for the close historical Indian-Bahraini relations, and the development and growth they are witnessing, in light of the mutual keenness to consolidate them in all fields, in a way that achieves common interests.
