Jeddah: The SPA Academy for News Training is participating in the Student Film Festival 2025, organized by King Abdulaziz University from December 2-4 at its King Faisal Conference Center. The event features widespread student involvement and attendance by specialists and filmmakers from various universities, with the academy joining as a sponsor of the festival's artificial intelligence track.
According to Saudi Press Agency, through its participation, the academy is showcasing the media creativity incubator track, which features a select group of university students taking part in SPA's AI content production camp. The track presents creative works in which students used AI technologies to write scripts, design scenes, and develop visual elements, in a training experience that highlights their readiness for modern content creation.
The academy is also running an interactive pavilion within an exhibition showcasing the journey 'from idea to screen,' offering visitors hands-on exposure to modern visual-generation and digital-enhancement tools. The pavilion spotlights AI's integration into short-film production workflows, enabling visitors to see how ideas can be turned into cinematic scenes using advanced tools.
The festival program also includes the academy's participation in its seventh session. Academy CEO Tariq AlShaikh will deliver a presentation on the methodology of SPA's AI camp and its role in equipping a generation capable of creating production solutions based on modern technologies, and enhancing their creative skills and output.
