Geneva: The camera of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) documented the spiritual and human scenes experienced by visitors to the Grand Mosque on the 27th night of the holy month of Ramadan, in an atmosphere filled with devotion and tranquility as worshippers and Umrah performers gathered in large numbers seeking Laylat al-Qadr and performing the Isha and Taraweeh prayers in the courtyard of the Holy Kaaba.
According to Saudi Press Agency, images captured showed the corridors and courtyards of the Grand Mosque filled with worshippers who arrived early in a majestic scene reflecting the spirituality of the blessed night and the unity of Muslims. Worshippers stood in orderly rows performing their prayers with reverence, while Umrah performers continued the rituals of Tawaf and Sa'i smoothly and in an organized manner.
The camera also captured diverse scenes of worship in the Grand Mosque-some reciting verses of the Holy Quran with devotion, others standing in prayer seeking the mercy of their Lord, and others raising their hands in supplication, asking Allah for mercy, forgiveness, and salvation from the Fire-reflecting the meanings of faith and serenity in this sacred place near the Holy Kaaba.
This coverage comes as part of the media role undertaken by SPA to convey the vivid atmosphere of spirituality witnessed at the Grand Mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan and to highlight the integrated efforts made by the relevant authorities to serve the Guests of Allah and enable them to perform their rituals in an environment of safety and tranquility.
