Astana: Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed met with International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Andrew Parsons on Tuesday. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Asian Paralympic Committee's General Assembly, which is set to commence on Wednesday in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the SOPC and the IPC to foster the development of Paralympic sports on a global scale. The aim is to create synergies that will benefit athletes and the broader sports community.
Additionally, Prince Fahad held a meeting with Gennadiy Golovkin, President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Kazakhstan. The meeting was centered around reviewing collaborative opportunities between the Saudi and Kazakh Olympic committees to support the advancement of Olympic sports in both nations.
Prince Fahad also visited the Saudi national team camp, where he interacted with players and members of the technical and administrative staff. He assessed their preparations for forthcoming competitions and extended his best wishes for their participation, particularly in the Asian Youth Games, which are scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in October.
