Somali Internal Security Minister Engages with Saudi Interior Ministry’s Innovations at World Defense Show 2026

Riyadh: Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail, visited the pavilion of the Saudi Ministry of Interior at the World Defense Show 2026, showcasing technological solutions envisioning the future of sustainable security, readiness, and community service. The exhibition is being held in Riyadh from February 8 to 12.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister Ismail was briefed on the Ministry of Interior's integrated operational capabilities. These capabilities focus on enhancing decision-making, command and control, predictive intelligence, and security-scene management to protect individuals and all residents of the Kingdom, aligning with the ministry's mission toward smart, integrated, and sustainable security.

During his visit, the minister toured the pavilion's sections, which highlight the ministry's advancements in proactive security, crisis and emergency management through advanced technological solutions, and the contribution of Unified Security Operations Centers (911) to the national response system. Additionally, the pavilion emphasized efforts in fostering innovation and building international partnerships in the fields of security and smart systems.
