Sisi: Strategy of higher education should aim at enhancing role of universities to achieve state objectives

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that the strategy of the Higher Education Ministry should aim at enhancing the role of universities in achieving the state’s objectives and national targets, especially the approach of studying modern sciences such as artificial intelligence, data analysis, programing as well as financial inclusion technologies.

 

The president’s remarks were made during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Higher Education Minister Mohamed Ayman Ashour, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.

 

The spokesman noted that the meeting took up the strategic vision of the Higher Education Ministry.

 

Ashour reviewed the status of projects carried out by the Higher Education Ministry ahead of the new academic year 2022/2023 especially the preparedness of the new Non-Profit Universities that are subject to the provisions of governmental universities across the country as well as the technological universities, added the spokesman.

 

The higher education minister also reviewed the ministry’s future vision to develop higher education and scientific research with a special focus on formulating new educational programs that are based on a number of principles, such as creativity and innovation, the spokesman explained.

 

Sisi was briefed on the executive status of establishing premises for the Egyptian scholars in the French capital Paris which is expected to be finalized next year. He was also notified on Egypt’s readiness for the Francophonie week by the end of October.
