Riyadh: Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh received Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Dr. Ahmed bin Alawi Baabood in Riyadh today.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh affirmed the Shura Council's commitment to supporting and strengthening joint Arab parliamentary cooperation through closer integration with fellow Arab legislative councils. This collaboration aims to advance the aspirations of Arab countries and serve their shared causes.
The meeting also reviewed the agenda of the 39th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be hosted by the Kingdom. Discussions included mechanisms to further develop the union's work and enhance its effectiveness in achieving its objectives. Additionally, both sides explored a number of topics of mutual interest.
