Islamabad: Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh is set to commence an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan tomorrow. He will lead a delegation from the council following an invitation extended by Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al Al-Sheikh, in a press statement, underscored the strategic relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He highlighted the strong fraternal ties that exist between the two nations.
He pointed out the ongoing development of bilateral relations, which are based on a long history of constructive cooperation and integration across different fields that have connected the two countries for decades.
Al Al-Sheikh expressed optimism that the visit would pave the way for new avenues of cooperation between the Shura Council, the Pakistani National Assembly, and the Senate of Pakistan. This includes coordinating parliamentary positions in regional and international forums.
He also mentioned that the exchange of parliamentary visits is an important means of enhancing bilateral cooperation, aligning with the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of both countries.
