Cairo: Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh has arrived in Egypt for an official visit, leading a delegation from the council. Al-Sheikh's visit is in response to an official invitation from Egyptian House of Representatives Speaker Dr. Hanafy Gebaly.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Gebaly welcomed Al-Sheikh upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport. The reception was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh Al-Husseini, Saudi Permanent Representative to the Arab League Abdulaziz Al-Matar, and senior Egyptian parliamentary officials, including House of Representatives Secretary-General Ahmed Manna.
The visit will include discussions between the two speakers and the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Egyptian House of Representatives. Al-Sheikh is also scheduled to meet with several Egyptian officials during his stay.
