Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi has met with President and Founder of the Women Political Leaders (WPL) Silvana Koch-Mehrin at the council headquarters in Riyadh. During the meeting, Al-Ahmadi reviewed the Shura Council's operational mechanisms, oversight, and legislative roles. She also highlighted the Kingdom's comprehensive development movement and the achievements made across all sectors through the Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing the empowerment of Saudi women in various fields and leadership positions. She noted their active participation in the Shura Council, with significant involvement in its sessions, committees, and domestic and international engagements, which enhanced women's leadership roles in global forums and regional and international conferences. For her part, Koch-Mehrin praised the progress made across various sectors in the Kingdom, commending the strides made in empowering women and their active role in achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030. Talks dur ing the meeting also covered several topics of mutual interest.
