Riyadh: Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi met today in Riyadh with Ambassador of Sweden to Saudi Arabia Petra Menander. Al-Ahmadi welcomed the ambassador, highlighting the role played by the Shura Council in parliamentary diplomacy through official visits, the work of parliamentary friendship committees, and its active participation in regional and international parliamentary conferences. These efforts strengthen parliamentary cooperation with other councils and parliaments and support the Kingdom's influential presence at the regional and international levels. According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting also reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Swedish Parliament and a number of issues of mutual interest.
