Nairobi: Secretary-General of the Saudi Green Building Forum Eng. Faisal Al Fadl participated in the seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7), held at the United Nations Environment Programme headquarters. During his participation in the Multi-stakeholder Dialogue, he emphasized that the interconnected environmental challenges facing the world today extend beyond the environmental sphere to include economic, social, and humanitarian dimensions. He highlighted the necessity of integrated responses and multilateral cooperation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al Fadl articulated that achieving environmental restoration requires involving the business sector in the process through the transformation of business practices within defined frameworks of responsibility and transparency. He remarked that while global agreements and environmental commitments form a vital foundation, their true effectiveness relies on the phase of practical implementation.

The secretary-general highlighted that the success of these commitments is contingent on actions taken after their announcement. This is when policies must reach factories and supply chains, cities and buildings, energy systems, product design, and materials management. At this critical stage, the environmental impact is either diminished or exacerbated on the ground.
