Riyadh: The Interactive Awareness Center of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) welcomed today delegations from several government and non-profit entities, including officials responsible for artificial intelligence and business intelligence at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, leaders from the non-profit sector at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and representatives of the Food Manufacturers Association. The visit aimed to review the center's advanced tools and technologies used to explain various food and drug concepts.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the center representatives delivered an interactive presentation highlighting the SFDA's experience in enhancing the safety of products under its supervision, as well as the regulatory frameworks and oversight legislation that contribute to strengthening preventive awareness and promoting sound food and drug practices, thereby helping raise public awareness.
The center disseminates awareness messages through educational content based on digital media and modern technologies, targeting all segments of society. It also showcases the food journey from farm to table, traces the history of medicine from ancient times to modern manufacturing technologies, and highlights the SFDA's roles in regulating this vital sector.
The release added that the visitors praised the center's role and the qualitative shift it represents in food and drug awareness methods, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a healthy and vibrant society.
The visit affirms the SFDA's commitment to cooperation with government and non-profit entities, contributing to strengthening food and drug safety concepts.
