Riyadh: Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Chief Executive Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey met with European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) chief executive Richard Zaltzman as part of his visit to the European Commission. The meeting was focused on enhancing collaborative efforts in research and innovation, particularly in the area of food safety.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions centered on SFDA's initiatives aimed at supporting research and fostering innovation in the food sector. Dr. Aljadhey highlighted Saudi Arabia's dedication to nurturing an entrepreneurial ecosystem by attracting startups specializing in food innovation. This approach includes the provision of business incubators and technology accelerators, which align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
