September Sky to Feature Total Lunar Eclipse and Rare Celestial Phenomena

Jeddah: This September, sky enthusiasts can look forward to a series of celestial events.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Jeddah Astronomy Society Director Majed Abu Zahra highlighted the month's key events, including a total lunar eclipse on September 7. This eclipse will be visible from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Additionally, a partial solar eclipse is set for September 21, though it will not be visible in the Arab world.

Rare celestial phenomena will also be on display this month. The shadow of Saturn's moon, Titan, will cross the planet's disk on both September 4 and September 20, providing a unique sight for observers.

For those who enjoy early morning stargazing, Venus and Jupiter will be prominent on the eastern horizon. On September 19, the crescent moon will create a striking triangle with Venus and the star Regulus, offering another visual treat for astronomy enthusiasts.
