Senegal Health Minister Commends Saudi Arabia for Medical Support.

Dakar: Senegalese Minister of Health and Social Action Ibrahima Sy has expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the government and people of Saudi Arabia in the field of medical care. He thanked the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) for its dedicated programs aimed at benefiting the Senegalese people and for organizing successive medical convoys in many areas in need of healthcare. He expressed his eagerness to further cooperate with WAMY in health-related endeavors. According to Saudi Press Agency, his remarks came at the conclusion of a medical convoy for surgeries organized by WAMY at Saint Louis Hospital in the Republic of Senegal, which lasted for seven days. The medical convoy included specialties in general surgery, pediatric surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology, and it conducted 207 surgeries and 633 medical examinations. Director of the WAMY office in Senegal Fathi Eid said that Senegal needs more medical convoys throughout the year, especially in villages and remote regions far fro m the capital, Dakar, where there is a greater need for healthcare and the provision of treatment for patients suffering from seasonal diseases. He praised the cooperation of the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action, which played a significant role in the success of the medical convoy and the achievement of its objectives.
