Qassim: Qassim Region Governor Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz will inaugurate the second Unaizah International Dates Forum at the governorate's Food City tomorrow, with broad participation from local and international experts and stakeholders in the palm and date sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum is organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates in cooperation with the Unaizah Chamber of Commerce and the International Dates Council. It underscores the Kingdom's leading role in advancing the global palm and date sector and consolidating its position as the world's largest producer and exporter of dates. This second edition of the forum will concentrate on sustainability, innovation, modern technologies, and the exchange of global expertise in this promising industry.
The program includes specialized scientific sessions featuring researchers, academics, and international experts, as well as representatives from global organizations and major investment institutions. Discussions will address the challenges and opportunities facing the sector and explore ways to develop it from farm production to global markets. A series of expert-led workshops will also be held over two days.
The forum serves as a key scientific and economic platform for industry professionals, providing opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange. It further highlights the role of Unaizah Governorate and Qassim Region as major hubs of the Saudi date industry, while reinforcing the sector's contribution to the Saudi Vision 2030 goals in agricultural sustainability and economic diversification.
