Riyadh: The second day of the 10th international conference on artificial intelligence in media, organized by the Saudi Association for Media and Communication (SAMC), featured specialized sessions discussing the accelerating transformations in the media landscape, coinciding with the designation of 2026 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the day's program included six sessions with the participation of a number of academics and specialists in media and communication. They noted that AI technologies have contributed to reshaping the media production environment through automation, big data analysis, and content personalization. They emphasized that these transformations require media organizations to adopt new business models and strengthen their capabilities in digital verification, data management, and credibility preservation.
Speakers affirmed that the future of Saudi media rests on investment in advanced media education and the development of national competencies. This aligns with the targets of Vision 2030 and aims to strengthen the Kingdom's presence in the global media landscape.
