Makkah: The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announced that electrical loads in the Arafat holy site reached 430 megawatts today at noon. The company reported no significant power outages and emphasized the reliability of its service and the readiness of its operations teams to monitor the network around the clock.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the company stated that its operational plan for this year is proceeding as scheduled and aims to provide highly reliable and efficient electrical service for the comfort of pilgrims.
SEC affirmed its commitment to dedicating all technical and human resources to deliver safe and continuous electrical service. This is achieved through the full readiness of its operations and control center, along with an intensified field presence in Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites. The field deployment is supported by 61 launch centers distributed across the central region and pilgrim accommodation areas, operating 24/7.
These centers are reinforced by more than 2,200 highly skilled national engineers, technicians, and specialists, in addition to emergency and maintenance teams for power generation stations and transmission lines. They utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and field team management systems to enhance response speed and ensure efficient, high-quality handling of all reports.
