Al-Mahra: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), continues to strengthen Yemen's healthcare sector by implementing vital development projects aimed at enhancing medical services, improving quality of life, and supporting sustainable healthcare infrastructure.
According to Saudi Press Agency, one of the key projects under this initiative is the Dialysis Center at Al-Ghaydah Hospital in Al-Mahra Governorate, which was established and fully equipped by SDRPY to serve kidney patients in Al-Mahra and neighboring areas. The center has significantly reduced the need for patients to travel for treatment, ensuring accessible and high-quality medical care.
Since its establishment, the center has conducted over 22,000 dialysis sessions, helping patients manage their condition and improve their quality of life. Additionally, it has provided more than 97,000 specialized medical services, including medical examinations, consultations, and laboratory analyses. The center also plays a crucial role in raising awareness about kidney diseases and preventive measures.
Equipped with more than 80 state-of-the-art medical devices, the center exemplifies Saudi Arabia's integrated development and humanitarian support for Yemen. While SDRPY facilitated its construction and equipment, its operation is managed by the KSrelief, ensuring efficient and effective healthcare delivery.
