Riyadh: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) announced today the opening of registration for the Artificial Intelligence Professional Badges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This initiative was launched earlier this year during the International Conference on Data and AI Capacity Building (ICAN 2026).
According to Saudi Press Agency, this phase of the program covers two specializations: "AI Engineer" and "Data Scientist." The "AI Engineer" badge focuses on practical skills in developing AI models and systems, while the "Data Scientist" badge targets algorithm development and analytical capabilities.
Applicants for these badges will undergo a standardized three-level assessment framework. This process is supervised by an independent scientific committee made up of researchers, academics, and experts from both the public and private sectors. The framework is designed to assess scientific competence, analytical abilities, and practical skills in an accurate and objective manner.
