The "AI Adoption Framework" was launched today at the Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit) currently taking place in Riyadh. The framework aims to encourage several government entities in the Kingdom to establish specialized artificial-intelligence (AI) units to promote responsible work practices and harness technology across various fields to enhance productivity and improve services. The framework also contributes to supporting the Kingdom's goal of leading in data and AI by activating AI units in entities working on plans to implement and utilize these technologies for data analysis, decision-making support, ensuring the responsible use of AI technologies, and building computing and data capabilities in the targeted government entities. This initiative comes in light of the rapid advancements in AI technologies, coinciding with the rise of generative AI and its impact on business transformations and productivity improvements. It also falls within efforts seeking to create a comprehensive AI ecosystem that facilitates the adoption of new AI-driven products. The launch of the framework resulted from SDAIA's commitment to providing data and AI-related capabilities, enhancing innovation, and raising awareness of relevant policies, regulations, and decisions. The Kingdom has achieved the first place globally in the Government AI Strategy Index for 2023, according to the Tortoise Intelligence global AI ranking, which evaluated over 60 countries.
