Riyadh: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) held a remote meeting today to discuss the future of generative AI, with the participation of more than 200 academics, specialists, and computer science professionals. The meeting aimed to explore the potential and future of generative AI technologies.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting brought together researchers, entrepreneurs, and students who contributed to the discussions with various expertise and future visions for generative AI technologies and their applications. Participants addressed investment opportunities, regulatory requirements, and anticipated challenges at both local and global levels through four main tracks covering technical, investment, regulatory, and economic aspects.
SDAIA underscored that the initiative reflects its commitment to enabling the optimal use of AI technologies, promoting knowledge exchange, and advancing Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to build a data- and AI-driven economy. The authority aims to leverage AI to foster economic growth and development in alignment with national goals.
