Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first government entity in the Middle East to receive multiple international cybersecurity certifications from CREST International. This accomplishment highlights SDAIA’s ongoing commitment to advancing data and AI, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the authority’s Board of Directors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SDAIA’s achievement is aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop government agencies and achieve excellence in their performance. SDAIA has actively pursued this goal, earning four certifications from CREST, a globally recognized standard in cybersecurity.
The authority is recognized for providing advanced data analytics and predictive capabilities. By continuously enhancing these capabilities through innovation in AI, SDAIA secures the Kingdom’s leadership among data- and AI-driven economies. The CREST certification grants accreditation to organizations that rigorously adhere to its requirements, especially in procedures, technologies, and governance related to cybersecurity controls and their professional application.
