Scouts Log 45,000 Volunteer Hours at Grand Mosque During Ramadan

Makkah: Scouts, youth members, scout leaders, and female leaders participating in the Umrah performers service camp organized and supervised by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association at the Grand Mosque achieved more than 45,000 volunteer hours during the first half of the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative is part of the national efforts to serve Umrah performers and facilitate the performance of their rituals in an atmosphere of tranquility and reassurance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a total of 600 scouts, youth members, and leaders participated in the camp's activities. They provided services that included guiding and directing Umrah performers, organizing prayer areas, supporting security and service authorities, caring for children, and providing water distribution and fragrance services inside the Grand Mosque and its courtyards.

Camp Commander Ziyad Qadeer noted that the public service camps organized by the association during the holy month of Ramadan will continue providing their services until the end of the holy month. He stated that these camps contribute to promoting the culture of volunteer work and developing the spirit of responsibility and national belonging among scouts and youth. Moreover, they highlight the honorable image of the Kingdom's youth as they contribute to serving Umrah performers.
