President of Minya University Moustafa Abdel Nabi had a meeting on Friday 07/02/2020 with representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to establish pilot Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) high schools in Minya governorate.

The schools will open their doors for students as of the new academic year 2020/2021.

In a statement, the university said that the meeting took up cooperation between Minya University and USAID to hone the skills and train STEM teachers.

USAID continues its support to the Ministry of Education to fully institutionalize the processes necessary to ensure the sustained quality of STEM schools, including supporting in-service training for teachers and administrators at the school, district, and governorate levels.
