SCEGA Highlights Saudi Arabia’s Growing Exhibition and Conference Industry at ICCA Summit

Chairman of the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) Fahd Al-Rasheed participated in the 63rd Global Summit of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), held in Abu Dhabi from October 21 to 23, 2024, where industry leaders and experts discuss the latest developments in the exhibition and conference sector. Al-Rasheed participated in a ministerial panel titled 'Shaping Tomorrow's Horizons', where he emphasized the fact that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an attractive global destination for exhibitions and conferences. He said: 'Saudi Arabia is the fastest-growing country in the exhibition and conference sector among the G20 nations, as a result of the ongoing transformation of the Kingdom's business environment under the Saudi Vision 2030." He noted that the number of licenses for exhibition and conference in the Kingdom has grown by 44% from 2019 to 2023. Al-Rasheed invited leaders in the sector to an international summit on the topic, which will be held in Riya dh in December 2024. Source: Saudi Press Agency
